Indonesian Institute of Architects Upgrading at Islamic University of Indonesia
Professional Program of Architect recently was held upgrading training collaboration with Indonesia Institute of architect Yogyakarta branch in Mohammad Natsir Building, Faculty Civil Engineering and Planning Islamic University of Indonesia. This upgrading was held every Wednesday starting from 21 November 2012 up to 19 December 2012 whereas there were about twenty participants who come from different background, such as students of professional program of architect itself, lecturer from PETRA University, Atma Jaya University, Widya Mataram University and consultants.
This upgrading event were divided into five meetings, started by professional ethics code, level I, level II, level III and level V. Professional ethic code is about the latest news about profession cases and its problems solving. Moved to the level I, it discusses about profession upgrading relates to urban and land. Next is about level II and III that concerns building structure regulation and architecture and environment planning respectively. The last one is about level V which focuses on multi discipline project management.
Those five levels were presented by the professional in its fields, such as Ir.Munichy Bachron Edrees, M.Arch., IAI as the chief of Indonesian Institute of Architects, Ir. Sumardi, IAI as the representative from construction services development board (LPJK), Public Works Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (DPUP ESDM DIY), Licensing department in Yogyakarta, Ir. H. Yuwono Sri Suwito, MM as the representative from cultural board, Prof. Ir. Totok Roesmanto, M.Eng., IAI as the head of master program in architecture engineering Diponegoro University, Nurandi Wijayanto, ST, MBA, MSc as representative from Real Estate Indonesia (REI) and others.
The aims of this event are to consolidate the knowledge, practical perception, which directly relates to professionalism architect. That is why the materials in Indonesian Institute of Architects upgrading are not addressed to those people who have no experiences in professionalism world of architect.
