Magister Arsitektur UII menyelenggarakan Public Lecture Series pertama pada 24 Maret 2017, sebagai kuliah perdana pembukaan Magister Arsitektur UII. Pada kuliah pakar ini mengundang Prof. Jaepil Choi sebagai pembicara, yang merupakan Professor of Architecture, Seoul National University dengan tema “Role of Research in Architectural Design”.

Kuliah pakar ini dibuka dengan sambutan dan penjelasan tentang Prodi Magister Arsitektur serta pengenalan pengajar di Magister Arsitektur oleh Dekan FTSP, Dr-Ing. Ir. Widodo, M.Sc. Dimoderatori oleh Ketua Prodi Magister Arsitektur UII, Ir. Suparwoko, MURP, Ph.D, dibuka sesi tanya jawab dan diskusi dengan Prof. Choi.

 

Kuliah pakar yang dibuka untuk umum ini dihadiri oleh mahasiswa s1 arsitektur UII, juga turut dihadiri oleh civitas akademik dari luar UII seperti UGM, UNISA, Universitas Amikom, dan UKDW.

Pembukaan Milad UII ke-74 “Penyerahan Sertifikat Akreditasi International KAAB kepada Prodi Arsitektur dan Program Profesi Arsitektur (PPAr) UII”

Pembukaan Milad UII ke-74 dilaksanakan pada 24 Maret 2017 di Auditorium Kahar Muzakir UII. UII kembali akan menggelar berbagai kegiatan guna menyambut Milad ke-74. Milad UII kali ini mengangkat tema “UII Membangun Bumi Pertiwi”. Pada acara pembukaan ini tidak hanya sebagai pembukaan Milad UII, tetapi juga sebagai perayaan atas prestasi Prodi Arsitektur UII dan Program Profesi Arsitektur (PPAr) yang sudah meraih akreditasi internasional Korea Architectural Accrediting Board (KAAB) dengan penyerahan sertifikat akreditasi.

Luthfi Hasan, MS dan Dekan FTSP, Dr-Ing. Ir. Widodo, M.Sc yang kemudian diserahkan kepada Ketua Prodi Arsitektur, Noor Cholis Idham, Ph.D, IAI dan Wakil Ketua Program Profesi Arsitektur (PPAr) Bapak Jarwa Prasetya S H, ST, M.Sc, IAI.

Prof. Jaepil Choi dalam memberikan sambutan penyerahan akreditasi, “Meskipun tergolong cukup muda dalam menjalankan pendidikan Arsitektur, namun departemen ini telah mampu mengikuti standar internasional yang ditetapkan oleh KAAB”, ujarnya.

  • Ia juga menjelaskan bahwa saat ini Arsitektur UII menjadi prodi S-1 Arsitektur pertama di Indonesia yang berhasil meraih sertifikat akreditasi internasional KAAB. Ini berarti para lulusan Prodi Arsitektur UII memiliki kesempatan yang lebih luas untuk diakui kompetensinya ketika bekerja di berbagai negara.

Perayaan 30 Tahun Prodi Arsitektur Universitas Islam Indonesia

Tahun 2017 merupakan tahun istimewa bagi Prodi Arsitektur UII karena tahun ini menandai 30 tahun berdirinya Prodi Arsitektur UII. Terlebih lagi, tahun ini juga menjadi tahun Prodi Arsitektur UII memperoleh akreditasi internasional dari Korea Architectural Accrediting Board (KAAB). Pencapaian ini menjadi langkah awal sekaligus pembuktian bahwa Prodi Arsitektur UII mampu bersaing dengan sekolah Arsitektur lain di seluruh dunia.

Untuk merayakan pencapaian tersebut, Prodi Arsitektur UII mengadakan serangkaian kegiatan mulai dari Sarasehan, Stadium General, Public Lecture Series, Temu Alumni, Workshop, Program Summer School, Pameran Karya, Open House, dan akan dipungkasi dengan Acara Seminar. Perayaan pencapaian ini diharapkan menjadi wujud rasa syukur Prodi Arsitektur UII atas segala pencapaian, ajang silaturrahmi alumni, dan sekaligus menjadi sarana untuk menegaskan standpoint Prodi Arsitektur UII dalam pendidikan Arsitektur di Indonesia dan internasional.

PUBLIC LECTURE SERIES 01 Master of Architecture (MArs) : The Role of Research in Architectural Practices

Program Studi Magister Arsitektur akan menyelenggarakan kuliah perdana dalam rangkaian ‘MArs Public Lecture Series’ dengan menghadirkan Professor Jaepil Choi, Profesor Arsitektur dari Seoul National University, Korea, pada hari Jumat, 24 Maret 2017. Kuliah umum ini bertempat di Auditorium Fakultas Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan, Lantai 3, Gedung Moh. Natsir, Kampus Terpadu UII, Jalan Kaliurang KM 14,5, Ngaglik, Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Kuliah ini terbuka untuk umum dan tidak dipungut biaya, ditujukan khusus bagi para mahasiswa Jurusan Arsitektur serta Prodi Magister Arsitektur UII maupun dari universitas-universitas lainnya.

Course Content

The content of each courses are developed along six interrelated domains of knowledge: architectural design, communication,  architectural theories, technology, professionalism and character building. The level of competence to achieved in these domains of knowledge are: awareness, understanding, and ability.

English 1 2 English course for Architecture is a university course (local curriculum) which is given in odd semester in Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering and Planning, Universitas Islam Indonesia with 2 credits. This course invites students to realize the role of English usage in Architecture. Students are presented the ideas in Architecture using English to make them easier in understanding what Architects do, to train them in using English in real work place, and to make them comprehend the vocabularies related to Architecture.

Students are expected to be able to communicate their ideas in Architectures by effectively using both spoken and written English and in appropriate levels. Students are able to give effective oral presentation, write business letters, and passively communicate (reading and listening)

Introduction to Architecture 1 2 This course teaches students about how Architecture is defined. It can be seen between the connection of human and Architecture, which includes, psychological, social experience, philosophical and physical aesthetic. Besides, it also sees human as the creator of Architecture, which refers to formation of Architect as a job in traditional and industry society production system.  This is also considering that human is an Architecture-observant, which refers to the development of Architecture as a study with sub-study which includes history, theory and design method. In general, it prepares student to be in Architecture education way to comprehend their future as an Architect, which will contribute on environmental building. 3 Architecture, Science, Technology, and Fine Art Understanding the relationship among architecture, science, technology, and fine art. Architectural Drawing 1 4 This course has aim to train students’ basic skill in drawing and presenting architectural graphic by using various media and product. Learning objectives of this course are:

1. Basic shapes, covering elements of dot, line, texture, color, and shading;

2. Orthogonal Projection, covering cross section (floor plan and section), and elevation

3. Paraline drawings, covering axonometric projection; 4. Perceptual drawings, covering perspective; 5. Principles of graphic composition, covering proportion, scale, balance.

This course is completed by combining Bauhaus’ basics of architectural education especially in basic skill of drawing and introducing artistic expression concept in aesthetic fine arts, thus students will grow sensitivity towards material, color, spacial, and composition which are important in developing students’ basics of architecture planning.

2 Various means of expression Ability to express architectural ideas appropriately by means of various Evaluation of Students’ Project:
1) Architectural Sketch Module; 2) APREB Module; 3) drawing drafting module; which are used as exercise for students to enrich and strengthen their basic skill of drawing.
3 Architecture, Science, Technology, and Fine Art Understanding of the relationship among architecture, science, technology, and fine art.
Building Material and Construction 1 4 This course discuss basic knowledge about local building material which are commonly used, covering discussion about process, standard and characteristic of building material, also material application as the basis of construction in structure system and building envelop. This course has objective to equip students to have initial knowledge to be able to design simple building based of building material and construction choice.

Building Material and Construction has strategic position in curriculum as basic knowledge in science and it is in accordance with vision and mission, it also becomes one of objectives of Department of Architecture UII which puts sustainable architecture with local wisdom.

25 Building Materials and Recycling Understanding of the manufacturing process and application of building materials based on basic knowledge on characteristics of materials, traditional way of usage, material standards; as well as recyclability, maleficience; and other control measure of building materials.

Courses’ Standard Competency: Students comprehend types and characteristics of local building material, production method, and material application in cornerstone, stands, and shade as architectural and structure component or building unity.

15 Integration of Building Systems in Design Understanding of building system and ist constituent elements such as building structure, building enevlope, composition of building mechanical and electrical service and other building components, and the ability to integrate them into his/her design.

Courses’ Standard Competency: Students comprehend principles of envelop components construction and system of simple structure based on its building constituents.

2 Various means of expression Ability to express architectural ideas appropriately by means of various media such as sketch, model, drawing, writing and digital drawing.

Courses’ Standard Competency: Students have ability to explain method of material arrangement as united building component through model, sketch, and drawing.

Architectural Design Studio 1 1 4 This course emphasizes on architecture principle as an aesthetical composition and architectonic which is strengthen by inspiration from art work and nature. 2 Various means of expression Ability to express architectural ideas appropriately by means of various Evaluation of Students’ Project:
1) Architectural Sketch Compilation;
2) APREB (Architectural Presentation Board);

Islamic Workship and Ethics 2 2 This course will explain aqidah, its relation to multi-culturalism happening in daily life along with its (iman) firm application (SPC KAAB No.  27) and also this material will give understanding of problem solving related to problems in aqidah and thought occurring and spreading in society (SPC KAAB No. 27)

Site Planning 2 4 Site planning course is conducted by semi studio system, with the purpose as follows:

Site understanding with logic and site sensitivity in a whole and accordance, includes topography, hydrographic and potency of environment in site.

Basic ability of land development and basic knowledge of architectural design related to site, which is appropriate to character function and its site.

In order to reach those goals, site planning course should be supported by:

Survey site module

Complete site survey equipment which can be accessed by student.

Site excursion is needed in several session of class.   

9 Form and Spatial Organization Understanding of the basic principles of 2D and 3D forms and design architectural composition and ability to apply these principles to design a building. Evaluation on Students Project, Presentation, Written Examination
10 Analysis and Programming Ability to collect various information and precedents related to architectural design problem and to write a program based on the result of the analysis.
11 Historical and Cultural Context of a Site Ability to extract a design concept based on the understanding of the various historical and cultural context of a site; analyze and evaluate them systemically; and apply them concretely in their project.
12 Site Preparation Ability to formulate a design concept based on the understanding of the cultural and historical context of a site, systematically analyze and assess the acquired data and information acquired, and implement the findings into the design resolution.
13 Barrier Free Design Ability of design a building to meet the various requirements of diverse building users including elderly, the infirm, and handicapped/disability.
22 Environment Control System Understanding of the basic principles of the environment system and the assessment method of thermal, light, sound, environment and energy management.
28 Project Carry out and Role of Architects Understanding of the role of architects, such as leadership, collaboration and coordination that are required in all the stages of design process.
Sustainable Architecture 4 2 Sustainable Architecture Course involves sustainability of architecture design including ecological, social, and technical values. This course equips the students with science and architecture based on sustainable environment. It aims to provide the students with understanding of ecological values, social acceptance in accordance with economic/technical feasibility during designing process. Those can be used to support various elements in one ecosystem. This course supports Design Architecture Course 4-7. It is also relevant with SPC KAAB number 8 (Sustainable City and Architecture), 16 (Design of Addition/Alternation, Repair, and Maintenance), 21 (Sustainable Means of Environment Control), and 25 (Building Materials and Recycling). 8 Sustainable City and Architecture Understanding of the sustainability of city and architecture.

Courses’ Competency:
Students are able to understand the city structure and its problems in correlation with sustainable environment.

16 Design of Addition/Alternation, Repair, and Maintenance Ability to assess and make changes or maintain the form or functions of existing buildings to renovate, rebuild, remodel and/or repair.

Courses’ Competency:
Students are able to understand Sustainable Construction in renovation, rebuild, remodel and/or repair.

21 Sustainable Means of Environment Control Understanding of sustainable means of environment control and cyclic process of nature.

Courses’ Competency:
Students are able to understand environmental issues related to global warming, tropical climate characters and local wisdom principles.

25 Building Materials and Recycling Understanding of the manufacturing process and application of building materials based on the basic knowledge on characteristics of materials, building components, traditional way of usage, material standards; as well as recyclability, maleficence, and other control measure of building materials.

Courses’ Competency:
Students are able to understand waste management and domestic waste, materials and hazardous waste (B3), and material and waste recycle process.

Housing Studies 3 2 Housing Studies is a 2 credits compulsory course which aims to equip students with basic knowledge to understand basic principles of housing construction. Learning materials are related to three main variables, i.e. 1) problem identification and urban development phenomenon, and their effects to the housing development (SPC 17); 2) human behaviors such as crowd, adaptation, and territories consideration (SPC 07); and policy/housing programs which have been applied (SPC 06). This learning process is conducted by applying 3 techniques, i.e. lecture, group discussion, and exercise. The final score represents learning outcome taken from the recapitulation of the attendance, learning exercise, mid semester test, and final exam score. 17 Design of Architecture and City Understanding of the basic principles of housing design, urban design, and urban planning. Ability to critically assess city and urban planning and utilize the outcomes in the design process.

The identification of urban development problems and phenomena, and their effects upon housing development.

07 Human Behavior Understanding of theories and methodologies that identify the relationship between physical environment and human behavior

Human behaviors: crowd, adaptation, and territories consideration.

06 Architecture and Society Understanding of the relationship and mutual influence of history, society, region, and policy

Variety of Housing program policy: old order, new order, and reform era.

Thermal Environmental Control 2 2 Learning objectives of this course is to give students an understanding of the basic principles, evaluation, and recommendations as design guidance to controlling thermal environment of the building. Urgency of this course is to provide a basic understanding of how to achieve thermal performance of architectural space that suit to space thermal qualities desired through the understanding of the basic principles, evaluation to the thermal environment control of room. This understanding is very important in terms of the achievement of Learning Outcomes program in Building Science and Technology Laboratory. This competency will support throughout the entire Design Studio Course and final project, particularly for Design Studio 3. 22 Environment Control Systems Understanding of the basic principles and assessment methods of environmental control systems including thermal, lighting, acoustical systems, and  energy management.

Students can understand the basic principles and can evaluate air and thermal quality.

Students can formulate recommendation for thermal and air quality controlling of the building.

21 Sustainable Means of Environment Control Understanding of sustainable means of environment control and cyclical process of nature

Students can understand the principles of passive environmental thermal control.

3 Architecture, Science, Technology, and Fine Art Understanding of the relationship among architecture, science, technology and fine art

Students can understand roles and relationship between science and technology related to the room thermal quality with architecture.  

7 Human behavior Understanding of theories and methodologies that identify the relationship between physical environment and human behaviour.

Students can understand the role and relationship between room thermal quality with human behaviour.

Principle of Building Structure 2 4 Learning objectives of this course is to give students understanding of principles and basic concepts of structure that will be used in the next structure courses. Material of this course includes knowledge of statistic and structure elements behavior and material strength. The topics of this course consist of basic concept of force and moment, load and its effect to element or structure system in equilibrium condition, material behavior, and geometry sectional properties of structural elements. Intuitive understanding of concept will be encouraged by demonstration in class and laboratory, completed with student logical analytical ability developed by weekly examination and classroom review. ‘Rule of thumb’ of structure predesigning includes selecting, configuration and dimentional estimation. Topic of Geometric is given in the end of lecture. 19 Principles of Building of Structural Engineering Understanding of the basic theories and principles of forces and building structure. 20 Structural System Understanding of various systems of building system structure
Architectural Design Studio 2 2 4 This course is given in 2nd semesters with 2 credits. Learning objectives of this course is to develop student’s ability in small scale architecture designing as spatial and tectonic composition to accommodate simple function and usage in generic real site context. This ability is a development of architectonic aesthetic composition principles given in Architectural Design Studio 1. This ability will be developed for more complex function and site in Architectural Design Studio 3. This course, also, have target to create graduates that have capability to respond social and environmental issues by doing intervention to site in marginal environment. 1 Oral and Literal Communication Ability to communicate architectural ideas in writing and speech, and the ability to communicate in a foreign language.

Students are able to give oral and literal presentation as well communicate it in English.

Evaluation of Students’ Project:
1) Architectural Sketch Compilation;
2) APREB (Architectural Presentation Board);
3) technical drawing compilation; 4) 3D model 5) Oral Presentation which are used as exercise for students to enrich and strengthen their basic skill of architectural design drawing.

Students are able to  express informative  architectural ideas in sketches, manual engineering drawing, writing, 3D drawing,  and presentation board

3 Architecture, Science, Technology and Fine Art Understanding of the relationship among architecture, science, technology and fine art.

Students are able to understand the relationship between architecture and technology through the application of the basic tectonic composition using simple materials.

Building Information Modelling 3 4 This course aims to make students able to present a three-dimensional model presentation as well as prepare a document image with more structured information. Learning process is in the form of discussion and problem solving practice or case study in a simple building. This subject becomes one of supporting subjects for competence of graduate study program which is based on Architectural Studies Program curriculum that is included in 24% of scientific and skill course and held in the digital architecture practice room with a small class of maximum25 students. Architectural Design Studio 3 3 6 Architectural Design Studio 3  is a continuation of Architectural Design 2 with 6 credits. It offers building case with residential function in natural site with specific character.

Problem that needs to be overcomed is the achievement of residential activity needs and utilization of site potential – the natural environment. Thus there needs to be a study of character of subject, character of activities that will be accommodated and potential natural environment site which is utilized as basic consideration of future planning; spatial form and its order with air duct consideration, natural exposure, anthropometry, comfort of motion and structure of the election (the top, middle and bottom) and basic infrastructure.

Students are able to design a group of small-scale building, consist of 1-2 floors with standard pattern activity and various users.
In natural setting, specific character accurately use the frame structure system with architectonic forms of diversity which is a combination of natural building materials and simple fabrication infrastructure (clean water, electricity, and drainage) by taking into account the principle of sustainability which utilize  the potential of climate site and other physical environments with focus on solving design problems naturally.

Architecture Design Studio 4 4 6 This course is given in 4th semesters with 6 credits and were included in the coursesgroup of Expertise in Work. In the constellation of the curriculum 2013, this course sequence with Architectural Design Studio 3as its pre-requisite, and as a pre-requisite for Architectural Design Studio 5 with a passing score of at least C.Urgency Architectural Design Studio 4 is the emphasis of contextual design of the built environment to the urban site location as a translation of the vision and mission of department of architecture in excellence character based on Indonesia’s urban context, commitment to the built environment that responds to the social patterns of urban, and design-based professional.

After passing this course, students are able to design a simple mix-use building on the site covering an area of 900 to 1500m2, medium-sized buildings, consisting of 3-4 floors which accommodate the spatial complexity of public buildings that respond to the social needs of local communities with large numbers of users. The result of this course is to design a building with a geometric composition that responds to the pattern of the structure in an urban area, its structure and infrastructure system, with control of the artificial environment.

Islamic Civilization and Thought 4 2 Learning objectives of this course is to give students an understanding of basic thought principles in development of islamic civilization. Based on Sanaky, 2006, “Islamic civilization is part of the islamic culture, which includes aspects of life such as moral, art, science, and also technology system, building art, fine art, state system, general knowledge” .

Urgency of this course is to give basic understanding of the development of Islamic thought, including thought evolution in society activity, from simple basic needs to  ideas of complex function, then evolved on the relationships of traditional values that exist in various areas when Islam spread to a wide area, to the thought related to ideas of symbolic aesthetic needs. From here, its clear that islamic thought and civilization have strong relationship with science of architecture.

Introduction to Urban  Design 6 4 This course is offered in 6th semester, as perquisite course for students to take Architectural Design Studio (ADS) 7.  In general, this course has an objective to support students’ competency in architecture designing by considering urban space and introducing substantial theory and urban design procedure.  Students are introduced to urban development in both eastern and western world by giving knowledge them about urban morphology, elements of urban shaping, urban problems, and concepts of urban design. The process of design is a collaborative work between students and experts.  Students must demonstrate the ability to produce professional project documents (tender documents). Students Community Service 8 2 Student Community Service (KKN) is a course which aims to make the students comprehend how to conduct observation (observation, accurate survey) towards selected location, coordinate with society, become partner to create collaboration with society/institution/organization, propose activities, execute activity, and compose activities report.

The concept of Sudent Community Service (KKN UII) uses accompaniment principle, community empowerment, where the students take a role as facilitators. Accompaniment is a consultation activity used to facilitate and motivate with an objective to solve a problem faced by a society. Advanced Architectural Theory 10 8 This semi studio course is designed as an applied research, in which the students apply various design competences they got in a real project, in their capacities as the architect’s assistant. After that, the students are required to arrange a report of the result of critical reflection towards professional working experience with an architect.

To realize the university lecture demand above, this course is designed as a semi studio, which consists of 3 (three) modules, they are (1) Architectural Critics, (2) Report Writing and Presenting.
Architectural Critics discusses how architectural creation is appreciated and valued its quality.

The purpose of this module is to make the students be able to criticize towards the architectural creation, in which the students themselves are involved as one of the committee of designing

Furthermore, Architectural Critics also discusses how the practices of architectural design are reflected into a theory.
Report Writing and Presenting discusses how to present a spoken and written report. Spoken or verbal presentation is conducted through proposal evaluation meeting, mid evaluation meeting (comprehensive) and final evaluation meeting. Project Development Mangement 9 4 Based on curriculum, this course is given in ninth semester and weigh 4 (four) credit. The purpose Project Development Management course is designed to provide understanding and comprehension of the activities to provide students work experience in planning studio in the atmosphere of developer company. The undertaken project is a concrete project with moderate complexity of design problem and low risk level of development.

Classes held by conducting architecture internships in partnership with Professional Senior Architect/Head of Project in implementing concrete project on developer company which is oriented on  achieving 13 competenced professional Architects (IAI). Construction Management 9 4 Construction Management course equips students with real experience in construction management in design project, either field design or construction building. By taking this course, students are expected to comprehend project execution seen from construction management, thus they will be able to execute their own project later. Students will be able to fulfill managerial competency and supervision from several aspects taken from 13 points of IAI; especially they will take part in some processes:

a. Students are involved in supervising and controlling the composition of design concept and designing as a response to terms of reference.

b. Students are involved in supervising and controlling the design which produces image pre-draft and working drawing draft

c. Students are involved in supervising and controling the project execution.

By finishing this course, students will be able to act professionally towards building project as their role in construction managerial.

Integrated Project Management 9 4 Integrated Project Management aims to discuss about technical and theoretical points about integrated project that is practiced by formal contractor and to understand the practice of integrated construction project by contractor developer.  The theoretical substance is given to understand principles of integrated project management. Practical approach is driven to comprehensively understand about organizing constructional integrated project with construction developer, , Preparation Construction Meeting, Construction Management Manual. 12 Site Preparation Ability to formulate a design concept based on the understanding of the cultural and historical context of a site, systematically analyze and assess the acquired data and information acquired, and implement the findings into the design resolution. Building Information Modeling Management 9 4 After participating in this course, students are expected to be able to understand and present structured architectural ideas on major process of BIM in AEC(Architecture, Engineering, & Construction) industry as design tool and approach,  simulation (3D & 4D Construction Sequencing), analysis, coordination, and fee estimation (including building material cordination & listing). 24 Application of Computer Technology Understanding of the utilization and application of computer technology in the design process including, for instance, a building information modeling system. Architectural Assesment 9 4 Architectural Assesment courrse aims to make  student understand and able to do evaluative research on already operated building design. Masa Studi

Masa studi program pendidikan S1 dihitung mulai saat mahasiwa terdaftar sebagai mahasiswa untuk pertama kali, sampai dengan mahasiswa tersebut memenuhi persyaratan untuk mengikuti ujian pendadaran. Masa studi ini harus dapat diselesaikan oleh mahasiswa dalam batas waktu yang tersedia yaitu untuk studi mahasiswa jenjang S1 secara normal menurut kurikulum yang berlaku adalah 8 semester atau 4 tahun. Lama masa studi maksimal mahasiswa tidak boleh lebih dari 14 semester atau 7 tahun.

Beban Studi

Beban studi mahasiswa adalah Sistem Kredit Semester (SKS) yang harus diselesaikan dalam masa studi. Pada Studi Arsitektur   adalah sebesar 150 SKS + 28 SKS (jalur profesi)

Pengertian Sistem SKS

SKS atau Sistem Kredit Semester mencakup beban studi bagi mahasiswa, beban kerja dosen, dan beban penyelenggaraan program belajr mengajarnya. Secara umum 1 (satu) Satuan Kredit Semester adalah satuan waktu kegiatan belajar yang diperoleh dalam satu semester melalui kegiatan terjadwal per minggu sebanyak 1 kali 50 menit kuliah/tatap muka, 1 kali 50 menit kegiatan mandiri/belajar dan 1 kali 50 menit latihan/tugas/ pekerjaan rumah atau 2 kali 50 menit praktikum, atau 4 kali 50 menit kerja lapangan.

Kegiatan pendidikan terbagi dalam kegiatan wajib dan pilihan. Kegiatan pendidikan wajib diikuti oleh semua mahasiswa dalam jenjang pendidikan tertentu, sedangkan kegiatan pendidikan pilihan disediakan untuk memenuhi beban total pendidikan yang diwajibkan dan merupakan saluran minat, bakat dan kemampuan masing-masing mahasiswa. Dengan sistim ini, jumlah dan komposisi mata kuliah serta waktu pengambilannya dapat disesuaikan dengan minat, bakat dan kemampuan masing-masing mahasiswa, kecuali bagi mahasiswa semester pertama yang mendapat beban SKS dalam jumlah dan komposisi paket.

Dalam sistem SKS tidak dikenal adanya kenaikan tingkat pada setiap tahun ajaran. Jumlah Kredit Semester, komposisi pengambilan mata kuliah, dan waktu penyelesaian studi tiap semester yang diambil tidak harus sama antara mahasiswa yang lain. Bobot setiap mata kuliah dihargai dengan SKS, sesuai dengan banyaknya jam kegiatan yang digunakan dalam setiap minggunya. Banyaknya SKS yang diambil oleh mahasiswa pada semester tertentu, ditentukan oleh kemampuan individual mahasiswa yang ditunjukkan oleh Indek Prestasi (IP) semester sebelumnya.

Bimbingan dan Pengisian Key In

Setiap awal semester, mahasiswa yang telah melakukan registrasi diwajibkan mengajukan rencana kuliah dengan mengisi Rencana Akademik Semester (RAS) secara on-line dengan mendapat bimbingan oleh Dosen Pembimbing Akademik (DPA) yang ditetapkan Fakultas. Bimbingan akademik dimaksudkan untuk mengarahkan mahasiswa dalam memilih mata kuliah yang akan ditempuh, merencanakan studi pada masa-masa berikutnya dan mendiskusikan hal-hal yang terkait dengan masalah dan kendala prestasi akademik mahasiswa.

Syarat Pengisian RAS Mahasiswa Baru

Secara otomatis mahasiswa baru mengambil mata kuliah yang telah dikemas dalam paket Mata Kuliah di Semester I untuk masing-masing program studi di lingkungan Fakultas Teknik Sipil dan Perencanaan. Adapun persyaratan untuk mengambil mata kuliah tersebut adalah:

  1. Melakukan registrasi.
  2. Melunasi semua kewajiban keuangan yang telah ditetapkan, termasuk Sumbangan Catur Dharma.
  3. Melakukan Key-in on-line sesuai dengan jadwal masing-masing prodi melalui website ac.id dengan password yang sudah dibagikan.

Syarat Pengisian RAS Mahasiswa Lama

Persyaratan pengisian RAS diatur sebagai berikut:

  1. Telah melakukan registrasi dan memiliki kartu mahasiswa yang sah.
  2. Telah melunasi semua kewajiban keuangan yang ditetapkan.
  3. Melaksanakan konsultasi/pembimbingan ke Dosen Pembimbing Akademik sesuai dengan jadwal bimbingan yang ditetapkan.
  4. Melakukan key in di anjungan yang tersedia di fakultas, internet atau dimanapun yang dapat mengakses key-in secara on line.

Cuti Akademik

Cuti akademik adalah berhenti sementara selama jangka waktu tertentu dari semua kegiatan akademik dan kegiatan lain di UII dengan seizin Rektor. Jika akan aktif kembali, mahasiswa harus mendapat izin Rektor. Secara lengkap prosedur izin cuti akademik maupun izin aktif kembali dapat dilihat pada Buku Panduan Akademik UII. Proses pengajuan dilakukan dengan mengambil blangko di Divisi Akademik fakultas dan melengkapinya sebelum diajukan ke Rektor.

Metode Pembelajaran

Metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan antara lain kegiatan perkuliahan kelas, studio, praktikum, serta e-learning yang berbasis kolaborasi digital antar civitas akademika FTSP UII. Sarana kolaborasi digital ini didukung pula oleh adanya fasilitas hotspot di kampus, sehingga memungkinkan bagi seluruh sivitas akademika untuk melakukan proses pembelajaran secara profesional. Layanan e-learning dapat diakses melalui www.wuiiki.ac.id dan klasiber.uii.ac.id

Penilaian Hasil Belajar

Penilaian hasil belajar mahasiswa dilakukan secara berkala berbentuk ujian, tugas dan keaktivan. Penilaian hasil belajar mahasiswa dinyatakan dengan huruf yang bernilai sebagai berikut :

Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyerap ilmu pengetahuan dinyatakan dengan Indeks Prestasi (IP). Pengukuran IP dilakukan tiap akhir semester yang dinyatakan sebagai IP Semester, sedangkan IP Komulatif adalah IP mahasiswa pada kurun waktu tertentu,mulai semester satu sampai semester terakhir yang ditempuh.

Mahasiswa berhak mengajukan keberatan nilai kepada dosen paling lambat 1 (satu) minggu setelah nilai keluar di Divisi Administrasi Akademik.

Jumlah SKS yang Boleh diambil

Jumlah SKS yang berhak diambil seorang mahasiswa pada semester berikutnya ditetapkan berdasarkan Indeks Prestasi Semester (IPS) dengan mempertimbangkan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK).

Prosedur perhitungan jumlah SKS yang boleh diambil mahasiswa memperhatikan hal berikut :

  3. Pertemuan baris dan kolom (IP semester dengan IP kumulatif)

Perkuliahan

Perkuliahan dilakukan dengan tatap muka langsung antara dosen dengan mahasiswa baik di kelas, laboratorium maupun di lapangan. Lama tatap muka pada setiap pertemuan tergantung pada SKS mata kuliah. Mata kuliah dengan 2 SKS misalnya, tatap muka langsung dilakukan 2 kali 50 menit. Dalam satu semester jumlah kuliah efektif adalah 14 kali pertemuan. Mahasiswa dinyatakan memenuhi syarat untuk mengikuti ujian apabila hadir kuliah minimal 75% dari jumlah total pertemuan/kuliah. Mahasiswa berhak memberikan evaluasi dan koreksi kesesuaian perkuliahan dengan Satuan Acara Perkuliahan (SAP) maupun kinerja perkuliahan dosen pengampu mata kuliah dengan mengisi blanko isian evaluasi Nilai Kinerja Dosen (NKD) oleh mahasiswa pada setiap akhir perkuliahan.

Tata Tertib Peserta Ujian Semester

  1. Memakai pakaian yang sopan (tidak memakai jaket, baju kaos, sandal, dan anting-anting untuk pria) dan tidak merokok.
  2. Peserta ujian harus datang ditempat ujian tepat pada waktunya dengan membawa Kartu Ujian yang sudah disyahkan dan Kartu Mahasiswa yang berlaku
  3. Peserta ujian tidak diperkenankan memasuki ruang ujian, sebelum mendapat ijin dari pengawas.
  4. Peserta ujian duduk sesuai dengan nomor urut presensi ujian yang diatur oleh pengawas
  5. Peserta ujian yang datang terlambat lebih dari 15 (lima belas) menit harus minta Surat Ijin Masuk Ruang Ujian di loket Registrasi Bagian Pengajaran di lantai Basement
  6. Terlambat lebih dari 30 (tiga puluh) menit, tidak diperkenankan mengikuti ujian.
  7. Peserta ujian diharuskan membawa perlengkapan ujian sendiri, tidak diperbolehkan saling meminjam dalam ruangan ujian.
  8. Peserta ujian tidak diperkenankan membawa buku catatan kuliah dan sejenisnya di dalam ruang ujian selama ujian berlangsung terkecuali pada ujian-ujian tertentu yang harus membuka buku catatan.
  9. Selama ujian berlangsung, peserta ujian tidak diijinkan meninggalkan ruang ujian dengan alasan apapun juga, kecuali menyatakan mengundurkan diri atau telah selesai mengerjakan soal.
  10. Peserta ujian diwajibkan mengisi Daftar Presensi Ujian dan menyerahkan kertas lembar jawaban sebelum meninggalkan ruang ujian.
  11. Peserta ujian dapat keluar untuk mengundurkan diri, apabila ujian telah berlangsung selama 30 menit dan semua berkas lembar jawaban ujian diserahkan kepada pengawas ujian
  12. Selama ujian beriangsung, peserta harus menjaga tata tertib, kesopanan dan kebersihan.

Pelanggaran Disiplin dan Sanksi

Pelanggaran disiplin adalah setiap perbuatan mahasiswa yang melanggar peraturan ketentuan peraturan disiplin. Disiplin mahasiswa UII diatur sesuai dengan Peraturan Universitas Nomor : 460/SK-Rek/ Rek/X/2001 tentang Disiplin Mahasiswa Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII). Larangan larangan diatur dalam BAB III Pasal 4 dan Pasal 5 Peraturan Universitas, yaitu

Pasal 4:

  1. Setiap Mahasiswa (putra) selama berlangsungnya proses belajar mengajar dilarang :
    1. memakai celana panjang dan atau baju yang ada sobekannya;
    2. memakai celana pendek;
    3. memakai kaos tanpa kerah;
    4. memakai baju atau kaos tanpa lengan atau yang dapat dipersamakan dengan itu;
    5. memakai sandal atau yang dapat dipersamakan dengan itu;
    6. memakai topi;
    7. memakai kaca mata gelap;
    8. memakai gelang, kalung, anting-anting atau asesoris lainnya yang kurang pantas dikenakan seorang pria;
    9. menyemir rambut sehingga warna rambut berubah dari warna aslinya;
    10. merokok di ruangan kelas dan membuang puntung rokok sembarangan.
  1. Setiap Mahasiswa (putri) selama berlangsungnya proses belajar mengajar dilarang :
    1. memakai busana yang terlihat auratnya;
    2. memakai busana ketat;
    3. memakai busana yang transparan;
    4. memakai kaca mata gelap;
    5. memakai make-up secara berlebihan;
    6. memakai make-up secara berlebihan;
    7. merokok di area kampus;

Pasal 5

  1. Setiap Mahasiswa UII dilarang melakukan perbuatan:
    1. menggunakan barang-barang atau fasilitas milik UII atau lembaga Kemahasiswaan tanpa seijin dan sepengetahuan dari pejabat yang berwenang;
    2. menolak atau tidak bersedia memberikan la­poran atau pertanggungjawaban kepe­ngurusan­ lembaga kemahasiswaan terhadap keuangan, kegiatan, pemakaian, atau pemin­jaman­ barang-barang atau inventaris milik UII atau lembaga kemahasiswaan di lingkungan UII sampai laporan pertanggung jawabannya diterima oleh Rektor dan atau lembaga Kemahasiswaan;
    3. menempelkan, memasang atau menyebarkan pamflet, brosur, spanduk, atau sejenisnya tanpa seijin dan sepengetahuan dari pejabat yang berwenang;
    4. mengganggu, menggagalkan atau upaya menggagalkan proses belajar mengajar yang diselenggarakan UII;
    5. memaksa, mengancam, atau menteror pejabat, dosen, karyawan, atau sesama mahasiswa UII;
    6. membawa senjata api, senjata tajam, bahkan peledak, atau yang dapat diipersamakan dengan itu secara melawan hukum;
    7. memiliki, membawa, menyimpanan, memperdagangkan, memproduksi atau menggunakan minuman keras, narkotika, atau obat-obatan terlarang lainnya secara melawan hukum;
    8. melakukan penganiayaan;
    9. melakukan pencurian;
    10. melakukan pengrusakan;
    11. melakukan pemalsuan;
    12. melakukan penggelapan;
    13. melakukan penipuan;
    14. mengubah data milik UII secara melawan hukum;
    15. melakukan fitnah, penghinaan, atau pencemaran nama baik pejabat, dosen, karyawan, atau sesama mahasiswa UII;
    16. melakukan perjudian;
    17. melakukan pelecehan seksual, pergaulan bebas, penyimpangan seksual, perbuatan tidak senonoh, atau yang dapat diipersamakan dengan itu;
    18. membunuh (menghilangkan nyawa orang lain) atau mencoba membunuh;
    19. melakukan perzinaan;
    20. melakukan pemerkosaan;
    21. melakukan penganiayaan yang mengakibatkan cacat seumur hidup terhadap pejabat, dosen, karyawan, atau sesama mahasiswa UII.
  1. Setiap mahasiswa UII dilarang melakukan penjiplakan karya ilmiah (plagiat) dalam menyusun paper, Skripsi, Tesis atau Disertasi;
  2. Setiap mahasiswa UII dilarang melakukan perbuatan-perbuatan lainnya yang dilarang oleh peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku di Indonesia.

Jenis dan Kualifikasi Pelanggaran

Jenis dan kualifikasi Pelanggaran Disiplin Mahasiswa adalah :

  1. Pelanggaran disiplin ringan :
    1. melanggar ketentuan pasal 3, atau
    2. melanggar ketentuan pasal 4, atau
    3. melanggar ketentuan pasal 5 ayat (1) huruf a atau c.
  1. Pelanggaran disiplin sedang
    1. pengulangan sebanyak 3 (tiga ) kali terhadap disiplin ringan
    2. melanggar salah satu ketentuan dalam pasal 5 ayat (1) huruf b, d sampai dengan huruf q
  2. Pelanggaran disiplin berat :
    1. pengulangan sebanyak 3 (tiga ) kali terhadap yang berwenang;
    2. melanggar salah satu ketentuan dalam pasal 5 ayat (1) huruf r sampai dengan huruf u
    3. melanggar salah satu ketentuan dalam pasal 5 ayat (2)
  1. Pelanggaran terhadap ketentuan pasal 5 ayat (3) pengkualifikasiannya disesuaikan dengan peraturan UII dengan mempertimbangkan putusan peradilan.

Macam dan Bentuk Sanksi

Secara detail peraturan disiplin mahasiswa dapat dilihat pada peraturan Universitas No.460/SK-REK/ REK/X/2001 tentang Disiplin Mahasiswa UII.

  1. Macam-macam sanksi:
    1. sanksi disiplin ringan;
    2. sanksi disiplin sedang;
    3. sanksi disiplin berat.
  1. Bentuk sanksi disiplin ringan dapat berupa :
    1. teguran lisan;
    2. teguran tertulis;
    3. tidak diperkenankan masuk lingkungan kampus UII;
    4. tidak diperkenankan mengikuti kuliah, ujian, bimbingan, atau menggunakan fasilitas UII.

Secara detail peraturan disiplin mahasiswa dapat dilihat pada peraturan Universitas No.460/SK-REK/REK/ X/2001 tentang Disiplin Mahasiswa UII.

Putus Kuliah / Drop Out

Mahasiswa akan dinilai tidak layak melanjutkan studi berdasarkan data akademik, atau putus Kuliah / Drop Out (DO) dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut :

  1. DO 4 (empat) semester

Dilakukan jika mahasiswa tidak dapat mengumpulkan 30 SKS dengan IPK ≥ 2,00 dalam 4 (empat) semester pertama.

  1. DO karena non aktif / passing out

Mahasiswa dinyatakan passing out, sehingga dicabut haknya sebagai mahasiswa UII, jika cuti tanpa ijin atau non aktif selama 4 ( empat ) semester berturut- turut. Atau mahasiswa baru yang telah melakukan registrasi pembayaran pertama, tetapi tidak aktif selama 2 semester pada tahun pertama.

  1. DO masa studi

Jika mahasiswa tidak dapat menyelesaikan studi dalam waktu 14 (empat belas) semester.

Persyaratan Kelulusan S1 dan Wisuda

Mahasiswa dinyatakan lulus program S1 dengan gelar Sarjana Arsitektur (S.Ars) apabila telah memenuhi syarat :

  1. Telah memenuhi syarat yudisium habis teori sesuai persyaratan,
  2. Telah menyelesaikan Kuluah Kerja Nyata (KKN) dan Tugas Akhir (TA) / Proyek Akhir Sarjana (PAS) / STUPA 8
  3. Telah lulus Karya Tulis Ilmiah (KTI)
  4. Telah lulus ujian pendadaran
  5. Memenuhi syarat nilai minimal IPK 2.5

Persyaratan KKN

  • SKS Minimal 115 SKS, dengan IP Kumulatif > 2,00
  • Mengikuti aturan yang dikeluarkan oleh DPPM UII.
  • Terdaftar sebagai mahasiswa pada semester dan tahun akademik yang bersangkutan.

Persyaratan Tugas Akhir

Administrasi :

  • Mengisi blanko yang sudah disediakan
  • Menyerahkan foto copy kartu mahasiswa yang berlaku
  • Menyerahkan foto copy daftar nilai (KHES) yang sudah ditanda tangani oleh dosen wali dan Ketua Program studi.
  • Menyerahkan pas photo sebanyak 1 lembar ukuran 3×4
  • Menyerahkan bukti pembayaran TA
  • Menyerahkan surat tutup teori

Akademik

  • Terdaftar sebagai mahasiswa pada semester dan tahun akademik yang bersangkutan
  • Telah menyelesaikan semua teori dengan kekurangan sebanyak-banyaknya 2 (dua) mata kuliah dengan nilai D, dengan IP > 2,00.

Persyaratan Evaluasi Habis Teori

Administrasi

  • Melakukan pendaftaran habis Teori
  • Aktif sebagai mahasiswa pada semester yang sedang berjalan.
  • Mengisi Formulir Pendaftaran Evaluasi Habis Teori.
  • Foto copy kartu Mahasiswa
  • Menyerahkan Foto copy kwitansi pembayaran angsuran IV .
  • Pas Foto berwarna ukuran 4×6 sebanyak 2 lembar (foto yang rapi tidak boleh memakai kaos).

Akademik

  • Menyerahkan KHES ( Kartu Hasil Evaluasi Studi) yang terbaru
  • Telah menyelesaikan seluruh mata kuliah wajib, mata kuliah pilihan, dan kuliah kerja nyata (atau telah menempuh 142 sks)
  • Indek Prestasi Komulatif (IPK) minimal = 2.5
  • Tanpa Nilai E, dan Nilai D < 10% dari 140 sks
  • Khusus untuk Mata Kuliah dibawah ini, minimal Nilai Harus C (nilai C- belum dianggap lulus) adalah:

Kuliah Pakar yang diadakan rutin untuk Studio Perancangan Arsitektur 6 pada 10 Maret 2017 terdapat dua sesi.

Sesi pertama diisi oleh Ir. Handoyotomo, MSA; dengan tema “Estimasi Biaya Konstruksi” dengan tiga bagian materi yaitu Construction Cost Management, Penyusunan Estimasi Biaya Awal, dan Menyusun Estimasi Biaya Terinci.

Sesi kedua diisi oleh Ir. Hotma Prawoto, MT yang merupakan seorang insinyur profesional dan praktisi struktur. Tema yang diangkat dalam kuliah pakar kali ini yaitu “Merancang Bangunan Gedung Tinggi (High Rise Building)”, peran struktur terhadap bangunan tinggi agar bisa berdiri dan antisipasi rancangan struktur untuk mengurangi kerusakan yang terjadi pada bangunan.

Rekrutmen Staf Administrasi Magister Arsitektur UII

Magister Arsitektur UII membuka pendaftaran staf administrasi dengan kualifikasi sebagai berikut:

  1. lulusan S1 semua jurusan
  2. cakap berbahasa Inggris baik lisan maupun tulisan (score TOEFL 450 atau lebih)
  3. menguasai Word, Excel, PowerPoint (dan desain grafis menjadi nilai tambah)
  4. cakap dalam berkomunikasi, self-motivated, tegas dan pekerja keras

“Building Adaptation” sebagai tema Kuliah Pakar STUPA 4

Tema Building Adaption merupakan tema yang diambil oleh Pak Ir. Revianto Budi Santosa, M.Arch di kuliah pakar pagi ini. Arsitek tidak selalu merancang bangunan baru di atas lahan kosong akan tetapi juga mempertahankan dan mengembangkan bangunan yang sudah ada sehingga bisa memberikan kemanfaatan dan kebaikan yang lebih lama. Meskipun pemanfaatan kembali bangunan lama sering kali berkaitan dengan cagar budaya akan tetapi pemaparan yang disampaikan pagi ini adalah pemanfaatan ulang bangunan terutama dalam kaitannya dengan bangunan non-cagar budaya. Beberapa alasan tentang bagaimana memanfaatkan bangunan lama yang dipaparkan oleh Pak Revianto di dalam presentasinya adalah bangunan tersebut masih memiliki kualitas yang baik, dapat ditingkatkan nilai manfaat ekonomisnya dan menjaga kelestarian lingkungan dengan menghemat sumber daya dan mengurangi polisi karena pembangunan baru. Contoh bangunan yang diadaptasi dari bangunan lama seperti pabrik gula menjadi gedung Auditorium (Kota Parma), Rumah Tinggal menjadi rumah makan (Bumbu Desa), dan Gedung Rumah Sakit menjadi SMP dan SMA (SMP 16 dan SMA 7).
