Sugini

Dr. Ir. Sugini, M.T., IAI., GP is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture. She has been a lecturer since 1988. She teaches in Undergraduate Program, Professional Program, and Master Program in Architecture. Her expertise is in Building Science Technology, Building Performance (BST & KB), and Design. Building Science Technology and Building Performance courses taught include Utilities, Thermal Environmental Control, Architectural Lighting Technology, Architectural Acoustic Control, and Emancipated Learning (MBKM) courses, Portfolio on Sustainable Building Technology, and Breadth on Building Performance Evaluation & Simulation. The scope of design courses in Design Thinking, Design Studio 2, and Architectural Design Studio 3 Multi-story Commercial Building theme with a Sustainability Approach and Performance-Based Design. Sustainability themes are the topics of courses taught in Professions and Masters.

She has developed the theme of sustainability, especially on the development of passive ventilation and building components using used materials in applied research schemes. In addition, fundamental research on building performance includes thermal and sustainability research on vernacular and traditional buildings. She has experience in community service in social facility design and architectural lectures.

She has also served several managerial positions at UII, starting from the Secretary of Department, Head of Academic Quality Standards Division, Head of Academic Board, and the Office of University and Industry Alliance. She is a Professional Member of the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI), STRA Certificate, and Green Professional (GP). The Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) that she produced include one copyright, a straightforward patent for a series of vibrating panels for acoustic granted, one mold patent for registered interlock brick, and one intellectual property rights for industrial design interlock brick used bottle brick, which is still on process.
